Job Duties:

  • Directly supervise a team of call center representatives.
  • Manages order processing workflow.
  • Ensures accurate and timely order processing to meet customer requirements.
  • Drives resolution of customer-related issue with internal/external business partners.
  • Ensures that all customer communication platforms are being answered in a timely manner.
  • Create and/or generate sales reports and metrics to drive process improvements and operations excellence.
  • Monitor and report metrics and key performance indicators.
  • Handles all internal and external customer escalations.
  • Provides and documents performance feedback through side by side coaching, goal setting, and improvement processes.
  • Identifies areas and opportunities for departmental process improvement.

Requirements/Qualifications

  • AA/BS preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of customer service experience
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in direct-report supervision in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to coach, train, and motivate employees and evaluate performance
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships built on respect and trust with staff, managers, and others in the organization
  • Proficiency with technology, especially ERP systems, computers, software applications, and phone systems
  • Ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure and navigate tense situations, especially during peaks time
  • Experience and ability to work independently as a member of a virtual team as well as foster teamwork and collaboration
  • Commitment to process improvement and employee growth

We are looking for a Jedi Master who is an accomplished technical support supervisor.  You will supervise and lead a team of dedicated professionals in a high volume, action packed technical support call center, providing leadership and training for the team, feedback to management and resolutions to complex issues escalated from customers all over the world.

Davis Instruments manufactures a line of meteorological sensors using telemetry solutions as diverse as USB, TCP/IP, FHSS, BLE, Mesh and cellular M2M that utilize multiple UIs ranging from desktop to web to apps to APIs.

  • An BS/BA is a technical degree (e.g. EE or CS).
  • 5+ years’ experience supervising a team in a customer facing technical support call center.
  • Excellent leadership and staff development skills.
  • Proven ability to diagnose and troubleshoot hardware/system level failures.
  • Working understanding of Tera Term, Wireshark, mesh networks, FHSS and M2M cellular telemetry.
  • The curiosity and drive to solve any puzzle that comes their way.

Preferred but not required:

  • Background in meteorological sciences and agriculture.

Davis Instruments, a leading manufacturer of weather stations and Marine products, currently has an opportunity for a Production Worker.  Davis offers a competitive salary with a full benefits package and a friendly work environment. We are conveniently located in Hayward with easy access to the East Bay and Peninsula via the San Mateo Bridge.

Required Experience:

  • Ability to read, understand, and communicate paperwork and labels
  • All production workers are expected to be available to work in all areas of production
  • Surface Mount Soldering skills, preferred
  • High School Diploma or GED, preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of previous work experience in a warehouse, Electronic/Manufacturing environment preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift, bend, twist, walk, and reach frequently
  • Must have the ability to lift and/or move up to 20 lbs. regularly

General Information:

Starting pay is $19.05 (After 90-day probation, pay increases to $19.80)
Shift: 4-10 hour days (Mon-Thurs 7:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.)
Must become a member of the Teamsters Local 853 union
Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k benefits offered after 3 calendar months.
Must pass background and drug screening
